Elizabeth Curran (Furey)

Elizabeth Furey Curran, of Newtown, PA died peacefully on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at The Birches of Newtown. She was 90 years old.

Elizabeth was the beloved wife of Edward J. Curran.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Elizabeth was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Crangle Furey.

Elizabeth, (Betty), was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Betty was strong and always happy with a kind word for everyone she met.

In addition to her husband Edward, Elizabeth is survived by her sons and daughters-in-laws, Edward J Curran, Jr. (Kathy), Michael Curran (Helene), Timothy Curran (Maria) and Kevin Curran (Jennifer); her 8 grandchildren –Megan Beauchemin (David), Danielle Pirolli (AJ), Denise Records (Timothy), Nicholas Curran ( Caitlyn), Julia Curran, Timothy Curran Jr. ,Ethan Curran, and Sophia Curran; and her 7 great grandchildren-Kaylee Beauchemin, Connor Beauchemin, Jayden Curran, Lyla Pirolli, Luke Pirolli, Patrick and Logan Records. She is also survived by her siblings, Catherine Dorety and George Furey. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by brothers James and Joseph Furey.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet Elizabeth’s family on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Road in Holland, PA 18966. Elizabeth’s Funeral Mass will commence at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Highland Road in Newtown, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Bede the Venerable Church, at the above address.
