Dolores (Dee) M. Gross (Pisano), age 72, of Lansdale, Pennsylvania died peacefully on Thursday, April 9, 2021, after her battle with COVID-19.
Dee was the beloved wife of R. Bruce Gross for 55 Years. Born on May 4, 1948, in Reading, Pennsylvania, she was the only child of the late George C. Pisano and Catherine (Himmelberger) Pisano.
Dee was a graduate of Upper Moreland High School, class of 1966. Before retiring, she worked for many years as a hair stylist and an office manager for her husband’s manufacturing company, Gross Machine. She enjoyed being a “snow bird” by spending her winters at her Punta Gorda, Florida home, which she eventually made her permanent home from 2001 to 2019. A few years ago, she returned to Pennsylvania to spend more time with her children, grandchildren, and friends.
Dee was a lifelong lover of animals and for a time even bred rabbits. She enjoyed time spent treasure hunting at local garage sales, flea markets, and estate sales; connecting with friends through social media; putting together jigsaw puzzles; going to casinos; playing cards and bingo; travelling; and being with her friends and family. Dee will be greatly missed but eternally loved by everyone who had the pleasure to have been in her life and loved by her.
In addition to her beloved husband Bruce, Dee is survived by her children Bruce R. Gross and his wife, Colleen, of Doylestown, Pennsylvania and Renee Woodward and her husband, Greg Rick, of Harleysville, Pennsylvania. Dee is also survived by her five grandchildren: Jack and Ella Gross, Kaitlyn, Mackenzie, and Isabella Rick.
Services and interment will be private.
