Edward O. Weisser, Jr.

Edward O. Weisser, Jr. of Langhorne, died peacefully on March 21, 2021 at the Masonic Home in Elizabethtown, PA. He was 84.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the beloved husband of 49 years to the late Barbara E. Banks Weisser, son of the late Edward O. and Violet Maben Weisser and his twin brother William W. Weisser and his nephew Scott D. Weisser.

Ed was a graduate of Lower Moreland High School, class of 1954, received his undergraduate degree in Education from Cheyney State University and his Master’s Degree in Education from Temple University.

Ed taught in the Neshaminy School District for over 15 years. Ed was a co-owner of Eastern Dawn Mobile Home Park and former owner of Ringing Rocks Family Campground, in Upper Black Eddy, PA. His entrepreneurial skills and a Real Estate background among other talents made Ed a successful business man.

Ed was a gentleman and a doer, he was a member of the Langhorne United Methodist Church, he gave his time and talents to those less fortunate and volunteered his time with the Dyslexia Foundation in Reading. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge, # 427 F & AM, Newtown, a member of the Lehigh Consistory and a 33rd Degree Mason, Lulu Temple and the Shriners and former Grand Master of Pennsylvania Lodge in 1996 and 1997. Ed was also a member of the Greater Kensington String Band and Marched down Broad St for more than 75 years, what brought a smile to his face was enjoying  his grandchildren with fun filled card games.

Ed and his late wife Barbara enjoyed traveling and skiing in New Hampshire with family and friends and have made over 10 trips to Alaska. He enjoyed it so much he became a member of the North Pole Masonic Lodge and was the Pennsylvania Grand Lodge Representative to Alaska.

Ed will be remembered for his warm and welcoming smile, a good conversation and a firm handshake.

Ed is survived by his 2 devoted daughters; Robyn J. Rowlands and her husband Jeffrey and Kim M. Stockburger and her husband George V, he is also the proud grandfather of George Stockburger VI, Jillian Rowlands, Matthew Stockburger, Lauren Rowlands, Joshua Rowlands, and Christopher Stockburger and a nephew and a niece.

Due to Covid limitations Ed’s Funeral Service and Interment will be private. Ed’s Masonic Services and his Funeral Services will be Livestreamed starting at 10:00  am, here, under his obituary.
