Maxine L. Olson (Lewis)

Maxine Olson passed away peacefully with family by her side on March 13th at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Langhorne, Pennsylvania.  After being raised in Lansdale with her four sisters by her parents, Peter and Eleanor Lewis, she met and married her high school sweetheart, Lars Olson.

Maxine graduated North Penn High School in 1958 and continued on to Montgomery Hospital School of Nursing graduating in 1961.  She had a long career as a registered nurse At various hospitals settings and rejoined nursing later in life at Sesame Place and The Lawrenceville School.  Following marriage in 1963 to Lars Olson, she and Lars raised their son Erik in Morrisville, PA.

Maxine was an avid quilter and loved making various crafts for friends and family.  She loved frequent road trips and especially outings to Lancaster with her husband and grandchildren.

Her surviving family includes her husband, Lars Olson, her son and his wife, Erik and Dori Olson and grandchildren Zachary and Jakob.  She is also survived by two sisters, June Malach and JoAnn Sherratt.

A graveside service will occur at 11am on Saturday, April 3rd at Whitemarsh Memorial Park (1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA 19002).

Given the current environment, there is no after gathering planned.
