Barbara A. Paloni (Sandro)

Barbara A. Paloni, 89, passed away on March 3, 2021 in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. She was born in Syracuse, NY to the late Salvatore and Helene (Grant) Sandro.

Barbara was a graduate of Syracuse University and enjoyed a career of helping others as a caseworker for social services of Buffalo and as a hospital social worker for Erie County Medical Center. Barbara was a long time resident of Grand Island, NY and spent her golden years of retirement in Sun Lakes, Arizona before settling in Holland, PA to be closer to family. She enjoyed traveling to visit friends and a large extended family, loved reading mystery novels, doing crossword puzzles, and was a devoted fan of the Syracuse Orange and Buffalo Bills.

Barbara was the widow of the late Eliseo Paloni of Grand Island, New York and Maj. Elsio V. Paloni of Phoenix, Arizona. She is survived by a sister Rachelle (Dave) Boljonis of Fairfield, CT, a son Stephen (Lauri) Paloni of Newtown, PA , step daughters Angela Paloni of Phoenix, AZ and Sheila (Paul Lee) Paloni of Manhattan, NY, grandchildren Justin Paloni, Jennifer Paloni and Bryce Lee, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters Dorothy Hoffman and Patricia Sandro.

Services and interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Lewiston, NY will occur at a future time as circumstances permit. If desired memorial offerings may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation, 150 Monument Rd., Suite 150, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.
