William Kerry Haeflein

William Kerry Haeflein, 79, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of his family on February 26, 2021. Born to Kathryn and Frederick Haeflein in Charleroi, PA, Bill attended Charleroi High School then the University of Pittsburgh from where he graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering.

Bill moved to Doylestown in 1964 where he met Jane, his wife of 55 years.

Bill’s most valued legacy is his family. He was a loving husband to Jane and a truly devoted father to Michael and Lisa, Brian and Kalli, Greg and Helen, and Karen. Bill was the adoring grandfather of Alexandra, Harry and Tyler. He is also survived by his brothers, Fred and Bob Haeflein, and sisters, Kathy Thompson and Evie Ream as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

While recently reflecting on his life, Bill felt he had a “Good Ride”. He enjoyed sailing whether it be on Sundays with his friends or a trip through the Caribbean, learning to fly and getting his pilot’s license, bicycling around Bucks County and the Jersey Shore, learning to weld and traveling with his family. His favorite activity was being a cheerleader and avid fan for all of his grandchildren’s activities, especially Alexandra’s dance performances through High School and Harry and Tyler’s baseball games. He said to make sure Harry and Tyler knew that “He would miss their baseball games”.  Bill was a true engineer and master handyman who could fix anything—a skill greatly appreciated by Jane and his children.

Bill always put his family first and was available to support, teach, or visit with his friends and family. He will be missed for his warmth, kindness, humor, intelligence, and caring every day.

His services will be held privately for the Family.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Bucks County SPCA, P.O. Box 277, Lahaska, PA 18931.
