James Aloysius Leach
James Aloysius Leach, of Doylestown, died on Monday, January 25, 2021, at his home at Wesley Enhanced Living, Doylestown PA. He was 88.
He was the beloved husband of 61 years to Jean E. Van Cleve Leach.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of Francis and Bridget (McHale) Leach.
Jim was a graduate of Camden Catholic High School. Jim and Jean spent the majority of their married life in southern New Jersey in the towns of Haddon Heights, Ocean City and Williamstown. Jim was an electrician by trade and was a proud member of the IBEW Local Union 98. In retirement, Jim and Jean spent fifteen years in Bradenton FL where he truly enjoyed spending time with his wife and friends. Jim was an avid card player, he loved to visit the Casino’s, go fishing and swim in their community pool. He became a talented wood carver and has gifted his children, family and friends with his beautiful carvings.
He is survived by his three children, James Leach and his spouse Michael of Doylestown, Susan Rowland and her husband Kevin of Newtown, and Brenda Leach of Doylestown. He is also survived by his three grandchildren Sarah, Melissa and Christopher.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay respects on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 10:00 am until his Funeral Mass at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 235 E State Street Doylestown, PA 18901. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to St. Charles Borromeo Seminary, 100 E. Wynnewood Rd., Wynnewood, PA 19096.
