William Ackerman

William B. Ackerman of Ivyland died Friday, January 1, 2021 at Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia. He was 37.

Born in San Diego, California, Bill was the beloved son of Frederick and Renee Claudy Ackerman of Ivyland.

Bill was a graduate of LaSalle College High School. He attended Penn State University and late graduated from The Art Institute of Philadelphia with a degree in Culinary Arts. He enjoyed playing soccer while attending LaSalle and also competed in recreational soccer leagues upon graduation. He worked for various quality restaurants throughout the years and was previously employed by Earl’s New American in Peddler’s Village. In his leisure, he enjoyed spending time with his fiancée, Mary Neis, of Browns Mills, New Jersey. He will be truly missed by his family and friends, especially his longtime friend, George McFadden, of Doylestown.

 In addition to his parents, Bill is survived by brothers Frederick J. Ackerman of Doylestown and Christopher C. Ackerman of Mountville and his sister Alison Driver of Ocean City, Maryland. He is also survived by his grandmother, Charlotte Claudy of Gwynedd.

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, services and interment will be privately held.
