Anita Conover (Suter)

Anita Conover (born Anita Elsbeth Suter) died peacefully on Monday, December 28, 2020. She was born on June 4, 1928 in Bern, Switzerland. From 1951 to 1954 she served as a flight attendant for Swissair, logging over half a million miles flying from Switzerland to Europe, the Near East, and North America. She married Wolfert Conover, Jr. in 1954. They had three children, Susanne, Andrea, and Peter. They initially lived in Levittown before moving to Holland in 1963. From 1971 until 1993 she worked as the Library Clerk in Rolling Hills Elementary School. Her tenure at Swissair obviously instilled in her a sense of wanderlust, as she travelled all over the world extensively throughout the rest of her life, initially bringing her children, and in later years, her grandchildren. In addition to her children, she is survived by her grandchildren, Elyse Rowe, Marissa Fisher-Higgins, Corinne Fisher, Sierra Arnold, Bryce Arnold, and Lauren Sloniger. Donations in Anita’s name may be made to The Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (Southampton) Memorial Fund. Funeral services will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 877 Street Road, Southampton, PA on Saturday, October 9 at 2:00pm (visitation at 1:00pm.)
