Obituaries Dolores Tudor-Cunningham (Culkin)
Dolores Tudor-Cunningham of Levittown died peacefully on December 28, 2020, surrounded by her family. She was 66.
Lorie was the beloved wife of Mark Cunningham for the past 20 years. In addition to her husband Mark, she is survived by her children; Miriam Sawyer (Andrew) and Terri Tudor (Maarten Solleveld), two stepchildren; Ryan Cunningham (Shannon) and Megan Robinson (Mat); two nephews who were more like sons; Aaron Ewing (Michelle) and Jeremy Ewing (Kim), five sisters; Kathy Schwartz (Will, late), Bernie Secrist (Bob), Coleen Ferry, Joan Keepfer and Jean Goodwin (Bill). She was blessed with six grandchildren, Annalynn and Brielle Sawyer, Sabrina and Isabel Cunningham, and Winry and Henry Robinson as well as two generations of nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Miriam (Dougherty) Culkin.
Lorie was a lifelong resident of Levittown, a graduate of Bishop Conwell High School, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Penn State University. Lorie’s career in healthcare spanned many years, working as a nurse and clinical research manager at Capital Health (formerly Mercer Medical) and Bristol Myers Squibb respectively.
Lorie was family focused. She especially enjoyed time with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She made every moment with them special and would do just about anything to make them smile or have a good laugh, even at her own expense. Before developing physical limitations, Lorie enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling with her husband, happy hours and trivia nights with her daughters, working in her gardens, and athletics of all kinds. Over the years Lorie opened her home to many and it gave her great pleasure to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Lorie will be remembered for her ability to burn just about anything in the kitchen and being asked to only bring paper products to parties.
Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions services and interment will be private. A celebration of Lorie’s life will be held in the future.
