Carol B. Corcoran (Scott)

Carol B. Corcoran of Churchville passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at the Birches of Newtown. She was 80.

Carol was the loving and devoted wife of the Daniel Joseph Corcoran with whom she had shared 54 years of marriage.  She was preceded in death by her son, John P. Corcoran who passed away in 2017. 

Born in Philadelphia, and raised in the Holmesburg section of the city, Carol was the daughter of the late Charles and Madeline Dougherty Scott. She was preceded in death by her brothers Charles Scott, Martin Scott, Robert Scott, Joseph Scott and Thomas Scott and sisters Dolores Scott and Marianne Baldacci.

One of Carol’s greatest enjoyments in life was to play golf at Spring Mill Country Club. It was at Spring Mill where Carol and her husband, Dan, met lifelong friends and shared countless memories. Carol always enjoyed a good shopping trip and spoiling those she loved. She will always be remembered for her generosity for others, especially to her children and grandchildren.

Carol is survived by her children, Charles Corcoran (Tawni) of Westminster, CO and Ann Connolly (Oliver Mallon) of Newtown, PA and her grandchildren, Zalyn Lee, Connor Corcoran, Katie Connolly and Emma Corcoran.  Carol was the sister of Donny Scott, Alan Scott, Madeline Huffnagle and Judith Stock.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 10:00 AM until her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Rd., Richboro, PA 18954. The Funeral Mass will be available via live stream by visiting http://www.svdp-richboro.org/Her interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Richboro. 

Carol’s family would like to thank the staff at the Birches at Newtown and Kindred Hospice for the compassionate way in which they cared for her.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gift of Life Donor Program at 403 N. 3rd St., Philadelphia, PA 19123.
