Robert W. Baumhauer

Robert W. Baumhauer died suddenly at home in Ivyland, PA on Sunday, December 13, 2020. He was 75 years old.

Robert was the beloved husband of Margaret Voorhees Baumhauer. The couple shared 45 years together.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Robert was the son of the late John William and Nancy Saddington Baumhauer. He is the brother of the late John, William, Helen and Mary.

Robert was proud to have served in Berlin during his tour with the US Army. After his discharge from the Army, he joined the Philadelphia Police Department, retiring after 25 years. He spent the majority of those years in the Stakeout/Swat Unit. Robert had a big personality and an even bigger heart. He loved his family and friends.

In addition to his wife Margaret, Robert is survived by his sons, Michael Ginder (John) and Edward Ginder (Rebecca). He will be greatly missed by his sister, Frances (James); his granddaughter, Lauren, great-granddaughters, Rose and Lucy and many special nieces and nephews.

While observing social distancing guidelines, relatives and friends are invited to greet Robert’s family on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 from 11:30am, until the time of his Funeral Mass, 12:30 pm at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Road, Ivyland, PA 18954.

Interment will follow, with military honors, at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
