Thomas McDevitt

Thomas D. McDevitt (“Mick”) of Richboro passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at St. Mary Medical Center surrounded by his wife and children. He was 62.

Thomas was the beloved husband of 40 years to Mary Frances Cole McDevitt.

Born in Philadelphia, Thomas was the son of the late Edward McDevitt and Anne McGinnis McDevitt and the father of the late Thomas D. McDevitt, Jr.

In addition to his beloved wife Mary, Tom is survived by his children: Francis McDevitt of Telford, Mary Kate McDevitt of Richboro, and Matthew McDevitt of Richboro. He is also survived by his 3 brothers James (Marilyn) McDevitt of Bensalem, Edward (Irene) McDevitt of Richboro and Michael McDevitt of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, along with his cherished granddaughter Ella McDevitt of Holland.

Tom was a former resident of the Somerton Community of Philadelphia before moving to Richboro in 1997. He had graduated from Archbishop Ryan High School, Class of 1976 and had received his bachelor’s degree from Drexel University in 1981. He continued his education completing his studies at Temple University receiving his master’s degree in Business Administration. Tom has a progressive career from Packaging Supervisor to Plant Manager at Baxter Pharmaceuticals and its subsequent ownership in Cherry Hill from 1986 to 2017 with over 30 years of dedicated service. He eventually became the sole Principal of Pharma Logic Solutions, LLC until the present time.

Tom enjoyed sports and always shared his time and talents with all. He was baseball and basketball coach at Somerton Youth Organization and also Northampton Township. Tom also coached football at Assumption BVM in Feasterville. In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing, playing golf and spent quality time on the water vacationing at his home in Ocean Pines, Maryland, all with his family. Tom will be deeply missed by all who came to know him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Saturday, December 5, 2020 from 9:30am until his Funeral Mass 10:30am in St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Road, Holland, PA 18966 where masks are required and social distance must be maintained. Tom’s interment will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery in Langhorne, PA.

If so desired, contributions in Tom’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
