David M. Andrews

David M. Andrews a Bucks County Resident for over 50 years died peacefully at his home on Saturday, November 14, 2020.  He was 81.

He was the beloved husband of 56 years to Barbara Peters Andrews and father of the late Peter Andrews and predeceased by his four brothers.

Born in Throop, PA in 1939 David was the youngest of the five sons of the late Andrew and Margaret Palinsky Andrews.

David was educated in Scranton Public Schools and enlisted in the Navy Reserve in 1956.  After Technical High School graduation in 1957 followed by a semester at the University of Scranton, he enlisted in the US Navy and served active duty onboard the USS Wahkiakum County LST 1162.  After separation from active duty in 1960, he attended Temple University to graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in 1963.  He married Barbara Peters of Huntingdon Valley, PA in 1964 and was employed for over 25 years in marketing custom designed and manufactured industrial dryers, ovens, and process machinery worldwide.  His last decade of work was devoted to public service as Taxpayer Service Representative at the Internal Revenue Service and as Real Property Administrative Officer of the 111th Fighter Wing Civil Engineer Squadron of the Pennsylvania Air National Guard, Willow Grove ARS in Horsham, PA.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and vacationing in the Poconos at Lake Wallenpaupack. David will be missed for quick wit and firm handshake.

In addition to his beloved wife Barbara, David is survived by his daughters, Joanne Remick and her husband Michael and  Mary Andrews-Rosenberg and her husband Aaron Rosenberg.  David was the proud grandfather of Lydia Nichols, Elizabeth Andrews, Sarah Andrews, Stephen Andrews, Grace Andrews, and Porter Rosenberg.  He is also survived by his daughter-in-law Lisa Andrews and the many nieces and nephews of his four brothers.

David’s Family will receive friends on Friday, November 20, 2020 from 10:00 am until his Funeral Mass 10:30 am at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Road (at Tanyard Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954.  His interment will be private.

In lieu of flower, contributions in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
