Amy Nalli Roach Margulies
Amy Nalli Roach Margulies of Newtown died peacefully and surrounded by her family on Monday, November 16, 2020 at home. She was 52.
Amy was the loving and devoted wife of Dr. Jerry A. Margulies and together they shared 18 years of life, love, and family.
Born in Camp Hill, PA she was the daughter of Salvatore and Catherine (nee Dileo) Nalli of Lexington, KY.
Amy possessed a positive energy that was contagious to all those around her. She was at her best when surrounded by those she loved, especially her children and her grandchildren who adored her so much. Amy was devoted to her faith and was a member of St. Ignatius of Antioch Church in Yardley and she loved to cook and enjoyed family vacations to Hilton Head, SC.
Amy was generous, kind, and her devotion to her family and friends was without measure. She faced her battle with brain cancer bravely and without complaint. She will be dearly missed.
In addition to her husband, Amy is survived by her children: Dr. Caitlin Roach Spivey (Josh) of Bowling Green, KY; Tyler Margulies of Newtown; Alison Garber (Lee) of Philadelphia; and Matthew Margulies (Honglei) of Beijing, China; her grandchildren, Milly Garber, Max Margulies, and Avery Spivey; and her siblings: Jay Nalli (Melissa) of Scottsdale, AZ; Rebecca Tarallo (Mark) of Yardley; Jonathan Nalli (Cathleen) of Indianapolis, IN; and Jeremy Nalli (Kelley) of Lexington, KY. Amy also leaves behind her eleven nieces and nephews: Michaela, Sam, Sara, Alaina, Jackson, Jonathan, Caroline, Delaney, Hadley, Nicholas, and Charlie. She will be missed by her “sister-cousin”, Rachel Scaturo and her dear friends that have been by her side.
In the interest of safety for the special people in Amy’s life, her Funeral Mass will be available for all to join via live stream on this website on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at 10:30 AM. Amy’s interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent in her memory to the Brain Tumor Research Fund at Penn Medicine.
