Helen "Nancy" Ann Galen (Maloney)

Helen “Nancy” Ann Galen of Newtown, died peacefully on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at Pickering Manor. She was 90 years old.

Nancy was the beloved wife of the late Anthony Galen. The couple had been married 62 years when he passed in 2013.  She was the mother of the late Michael Galen whom she lost at the age of two.

Born in Philadelphia, Nancy was the daughter of the late Michael and Helen (McCausland) Maloney.

Nancy was one of six children.  As the second oldest, she made it her mission to help raise and support her siblings throughout their childhood with boundless energy, dedication and guidance.  She took great pride in their lifelong success and achievements.

Over the sixty years of marriage to Tony, she was a loving wife, a homemaker, a business partner, working mother and the foundation of our family. She enjoyed watching us all compete on the athletic field and if Nancy was at the game, you were bound to hear her supportive voice.  Go Villa! Go Owls! Go Saint Joes!

Nancy will be missed greatly by her sons and daughters-in-law, Anthony and Catherine Galen, James Galen, and Timothy and Cheryl Galen; her brother Michael Maloney; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet Nancy’s family on Monday, November 9, 2020 from 10:00am until the start of her Funeral Mass, 11:00am at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Road in Holland, PA 18966. Her interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Cheltenham, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pickering Manor at 226 North Lincoln Avenue in Newtown, PA  18940.
