Vera Helen Balceniuk (Kolarsick)

Vera Helen Mary Kolarsick Balceniuk of Pennington, NJ and Osprey, FL passed away peacefully on Sunday October 4, 2020 at Pine Run Community Health Center. She was 97. Born July 22,1923 in Irvington, N.J., Vera was the beloved wife of the late Edward G. Balceniuk, Sr. and the daughter of the late Charles D. and Daniela Seckely Kolarisk. She was predeceased by a son, Peter J. Balceniuk (2009) and her four brothers, Wilber, Albert, Frederick, and LeRoy Kolarsick.

Vera was a graduate of Chestnut Hill College, Philadelphia, PA with a degree in Chemistry. She was a devoted wife and mother, married to her late husband, Edward, for 67 years. Vera maintained strong ties to her family heritage, often relaying stories of importance to younger generations. She was a devout Catholic woman of faith, desiring to attend Mass and receive the Eucharist throughout her life. Vera was a meticulous homemaker and attentive hostess. She was a very generous philanthropist, donating to many charities that were close to the heart of herself and her husband.

 Vera is survived by her loving and devoted son Edward G. Balceniuk, Jr. and his wife Cynthia of Doylestown, PA and a daughter, Lisa H. Balceniuk of Ambler, PA. Vera is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Andrew E. Balceniuk (Jennifer), Kristy L. (Balceniuk) Schreiner (Ralf), Mark D. Balceniuk (Lindsay), Stephanie A. (Balceniuk) Robins (Clinton), Daniel J. Balceniuk (Heather), Rachel M. Balceniuk, and Ryan Balceniuk, and eleven great-grandchildren Charlotte, Caroline, and Matthew Balceniuk, Ella and Aubree Schreiner, Molly and Lily Balceniuk, Grace and Isabel Robins, and Oliver and Owen Balceniuk.

A private funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30am on Friday, October 9, 2020 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 235 E. State Street, Doylestown PA 18901. The Mass will be live streamed from Our Lady of Mt. Carmel for family and friends. Internment will be held privately at Saint John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont, PA.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the   Disabled American Veterans 5000 Wissahickon Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19144 in Vera’s name would be appreciated.
