Jay Eck
Harold “Jay” Eck passed away unexpectedly on September 28, 2020. He was 53.
Jay was born and raised in Middletown, Pennsylvania and resided in Rockville, Maryland at the time of his death. Jay attended Towson State University where he continued his love for the game of baseball as their starting pitcher. He was recently inducted into the TSU hall of fame for his achievements on the 1988 championship baseball team. After college, Jay began his sales/marketing career which ultimately led him to Charles Products, Inc, where he spent the past 15 years.
Jay loved playing golf, traveling, spending time with friends and family, and watching the South Carolina Gamecocks and Dallas Cowboys play every Saturday and Sunday each football season.
Jay truly was a one of a kind man. He had an innate ability to strike up a conversation and make a connection with anyone he met. He always knew how to brighten someone’s day or make them smile with a joke or sarcastic remark.
Jay adored his 2 daughters and never missed an opportunity to talk about them. His favorite pastime over the last few years was tailgating and watching Gamecock football with his girls and sharing in their college experiences.
Jay is survived by his loving daughters; Lauren and Taylor Eck, his mother Hilda Mata Eck, and his ex-wife Mary Eck. Jay also leaves behind many dear friends and colleagues.
