Dolores Murden (Thompson)

Dolores Murden of Southampton passed away of Friday, August 28, 2020 Abington Jefferson Hospice in Warminster surrounded by her loving family. She was 85.

Dolores was the beloved wife of 63 years to Frank L. Murden Jr.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late James and Edna Stead Thompson and the sister of the Joyce Boyle.

Dolores was a former resident of the Parkwood Manor community of Philadelphia before moving to Southampton in 1968. She enjoyed traveling throughout the world especially to Ireland and taking cruises with her husband Frank. Dolores was a dedicated communicant of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Southampton. She will be remembered for the quality times spent with her friends and especially her loving family and will be deeply missed by all.

In addition to beloved husband Frank, Dolores is survived by her children; Donna Marie Heaney and her husband Robert of Warrington, Michael James Murden and his wife Susan of New Port Richie, Florida and Steven Murden of Furlong. She is also survived by her brother, James Thompson of Frackville, her sisters June Haentze of Cape May, NJ and Edna Barnes of Media and her 10 cherished grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 from 10:00am until her Funeral Mass 11:00am in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Second Street Pike and Knowles Avenue, Southampton, PA 18966. Procession for Dolores interment will form on Wednesday September 9, 2020 at 10:15am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954 for 11:00am interment at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dolores memory may be may to Our Lady of Good Counsel Church.
