Jean Charles Gendron

Jean C. Gendron of Holland died on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at Chandler Hall Hospice surrounded by his loving family. He was 82.

Jean was the beloved husband of the late Gisele Moniqui Gendron and the very special and dear companion of Marian Boess Winter.

Jean immigrated to Bensalem from Canada in 1970 and ultimately moved to Holland. He had worked as a lineman for Hydro Quebec and in the states with Henkels and McCoy. He started his own home improvement business “Handy Jean” and for over 30 years he had a distinguished reputation for being able to repair everything. In his retirement Jean was a school bus driver for the Council Rock School District.  Jean was a dedicated and faithful communicant of St. Bede the Venerable Church in Holland where he sang with their adult choir. His musical talent led him to sing in the Choir as a Tenor in various local chorus groups. Jean will be remembered as a gentle man whose kindness and generosity preceded himself. He will be missed by all who came to know and cherish him.

Jean is survived by his children, Marc J Gendron and his wife Marion of Bensalem and Chantal Carter of Wilmington, North Carolina. He is also survived by his 3 grandchildren, Nicholas, Casey and Joey and his brothers and sisters, Michelle, Suzanne, Danielle, Ghilaine, Helene, Pierre, Claude, Robert, and Alain.  He also leaves behind his extended family including Michael Boess (Katey), Greg Boess (Sharon), Regina Lott (Rob), Monika Millar (Bob) and their families as well as countless nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond, Guy, Jacques, and Laurent.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Monday, August 31, 2020 from 10:00 AM until his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM in St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Road, Holland, PA 18966. His interment will follow privately.
