William Andrew Darling

It is with profound sadness we announce that William “Bill” Darling passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 27, 2020. He was 58 years old.

Bill was the beloved husband to Monica Kader Darling for nearly 19 years, and father to Andrew Darling.

Born in Quincy, MA, he was the loving son to Frank and Laurel T. Smith Darling. He is survived by his sisters Sandy Murray (Ben), Janet Bonneau (John), Liz Tedlock (Brian) and Christine Duncan, as well as, many much loved nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by brother Corey Darling (Jennifer).

Bill grew up in the Neponset area near Boston before moving to Western, NY as a child. After graduating from Eden High School, he joined the Navy and served with distinction on many important missions. He was passionate about his work in electronics, especially his experiences in defense contracting. After his marriage Bill moved with Monica from San Diego, California to Pennsylvania. Bill earned his degree at Excelsior College, and worked locally for Septa, B&R Moll, and Valmet.

Andrew was the purest joy in Bill’s life. He LOVED being a Hockey dad and being part of our extended Bucks County Hockey family. He enjoyed travelling all over the world especially to Montreal and Cancun, but most especially he enjoyed beating Andrew in Connect-Four, watching the Eagles win the Superbowl, and watching the Council Rock South Varsity Ice Hockey Team win their Championship this year.

Bill was our rock. He was deeply loved and will be sorely missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family from 10:00 AM until his funeral mass at 11:30 AM at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Rd., Holland, PA 18966, which will then be followed with a US Navy ceremony. His interment will take place privately by the family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bill’s name may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
