Rose Marie Fazio (DelGoletto)

Rose Marie DelGoletto Fazio, of Media, PA died peacefully in her sleep on Monday, May 18, 2020, at Green Meadows Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Malvern, PA. She was 88 years old.

Rose Marie was born in Philadelphia to the late Joseph and Katherine Simone DiGiovanni. She enjoyed attending local dances and musical performances as a young woman, and at one such gathering, she met her husband “Pat” Pasquale A. Fazio. They were married in 1952 and remained so until Pat’s passing in 2009.

After marrying, Rose Marie and Pat moved to Secane, PA and started a family. She worked briefly as an EKG technician at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, and spent much of her time volunteering in her children’s schools and at Our Lady of Fatima Church. When Pat retired, the two went on to start a business making wooden crafts. Crafts by Rose Marie sold their wares at shows throughout the Tri-State Area and also produced beautiful holiday displays for their church.

Toward the end of her life, Rose Marie lived at the Residence at Glen Riddle in Media, PA. She was known among its residents and staff for her generosity and kindness towards others, though she maintained that she was never “one of the senior citizens."

Her family will remember her love of Italian American foods, the large meals she prepared for gatherings, the halloween costumes she sewed for her grandchildren, her quick and often sarcastic humor, the stories of her early life, and the many other ways in which she showed her love for them. She loved being a mother and grandmother, and would often smile, spread her arms, and say she loved her family, “tooooo much!”

She is survived by five children; Charles Fazio and his wife Sallie of Minnesota, Theresa Pollaci and her husband Victor of Bordentown, NJ, Kenneth Fazio and his wife Joan of Perkasie, Paula Fluehr and her husband John of Harleysville, and Christopher Fazio and his wife Adriana of West Chester. Her memory is lovingly cherished by eleven grandchildren; Nathan Fazio and wife Jeanine, Victor Pollaci Jr. and wife Alicia, Danielle Marie Carpita and husband Chris, Adam Fazio and husband Karl Whittington, Hannah Fazio, Taylor Patrizia Fluehr, Trevor Fazio, Travis Fazio, Patrick Fluehr, Christopher Fazio, and Isabella Fazio; and three great grandchildren Nina, Lilyana, and Raymond Pasquale.

Services will be private because of the pandemic.
