Joanne M. Lazinski (Kereczmann)

Joanne M. (nee’ Kereczmann) Lazinski, 80, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2020 at Neshaminy Manor in Warrington, Pa.

She was born in Philadelphia on July 11, 1939 to Theodore and Elizabeth Kereczmann. She was the beloved wife of Raymond Lazinski; devoted mother of Susan E. Medina (Richard) and Beth Ann Lazinski (Lisa); loving grandmother of Zachary Medina and Rachel Kohler (deceased).

Joanne graduated from Nazareth Academy in 1957. She was a hairstylist at Northwood Beauty Salon and later became co-owner of the salon with her husband Ray where they worked side by side each day until they retired.

One of Joanne’s greatest joys was spending time with her family. During the summer months, she especially loved vacationing in Avalon and Ocean City, New Jersey.  Joanne enjoyed those days riding her bike on the boardwalk, collecting seashells, walking the beach with her grandchildren, and reading a good mystery while relaxing on the beach. Her hobbies included taking pictures, making photo albums, and collecting Christmas Carolers.

During Joanne’s 61 years of marriage to Ray, Joanne enjoyed traveling with him to Bermuda, Europe, Florida, Alaska, New Orleans, and the Virgin Islands. They especially enjoyed times with their grandchildren, entertaining friends, and dancing their ever so famous jitterbug together.

Joanne was a good listener, had a kind heart, was non-judgmental and always had a positive outlook on life.

The family will hold a private gathering in their home. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the GoFundMe listed below. Our family is so very grateful to all the incredible healthcare workers, staff members and activities department at Neshaminy Manor who went above and beyond for not only our mom, but for all the residents during this difficult time. The money raised will go toward food and PPE for the healthcare workers and staff, and also provide needed materials for the activities department to keep the residents socially involved.
