Barbara M. Tramo (Nickels)
Barbara M. Tramo, of Doylestown, PA died on Thursday, March 26, 2020, at her home with her family by her side. She was 82.

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late John and Lillian Kenny Nickels and sister of the late Patricia Tangradi as well as grandmother to the late Jacqueline Tramo.
Back in 1942, she met the future love of her life, Bobby Tramo from just across Osage Ave. After graduating from West Catholic School for Girls she agreed to marry him. Barbara and “Bruno’s” adventures began immediately with Barbara taking an ocean liner to Europe to live off base with her Army husband. Their adventures continued for over 60 more years. They traveled extensively all over this beautiful country as well as Europe. Bob and Barb visited nearly every President’s home throughout this amazing country they both love so dearly. They also spent many of the cold winter months in Naples, FL.
Barbara had a nearly 25-year working career starting as an operator for The Bell Telephone Co. She rose through the ranks to ultimately become a successful manager at Verizon while simultaneously raising her children and supporting her husband’s career.
In 1984, Robert E. Tramo bought the company he worked for and invited his trusted and loving wife out of retirement to be his bookkeeper and partner. Collectively they successfully operated that business until 2006 when they fully retired.
In retirement, Barbara became a Founding member of Our Lady of Guadeloupe Parish. She devoted herself entirely to the success of the parish. She was involved in multiple ministries as well as working in the rectory. Barbara was a fixture with her husband in their front pew since the church doors were opened.
Barbara M Tramo’s devotion to her faith, her family and many friends inspired all the people she ever encountered in her 82 years. Barbara was a hero to many and will be missed by all.
