Marie A. Popp (Feiler)

Marie A. Popp of Frederick Living in Zieglerville, PA, died peacefully surrounded by her devoted husband of 69 years and her children on Sunday, March 22, 2020 at the young age of 90.

Born in Quakertown, PA on September 4, 1929 she was the devoted wife of William J. Popp, Jr., daughter of the late Frank and Marie Alscher Feiler and dear grandmother of the late Erica Popp and sister-in-law of the late Richard McNulty.

Marie was a graduate of Quakertown High School, class of 1947 and received her Nursing degree in 1950 from the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Nursing School and practiced her profession for many years in the NICU at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

Marie was a woman of faith and fortitude, she was a loving wife and mother and grandmother. A wonderful cook who looked forward to family gatherings, so she could share her talents and test all of the amazing recipes she gleaned from the many cooking shows she watched. Marie and Bill enjoyed many years of happiness and joy, especially the trips to Lancaster.

In addition to her beloved husband, Marie is survived by her loving children and their spouses; Kathy M. Lookenbill and her husband Jim, Tom and his wife Katie, Jim and his wife Susan and David J. Popp, and sister of Margaret and Ted Cygan and Elizabeth McNulty. She is also survived by her five dear grandchildren Jennifer, Kevin, Dana, Cory and Peri and four great-grandchildren Raymond, Rachel, Juniper and Mira.

Contributions in her memory may be made to Frederick Living Benevolent Fund 2849 Big Road, Zieglerville, PA 19492.
