Marianne DeMartinis

Marianne DeMartinis, a longtime resident of Ann’s Choice in Warminster, died Thursday, February 13, 2020 at the Rose Garden at Ann’s Choice. She was 81.

Born in Philadelphia, Marianne was the daughter of the late Edward and Philomena Trofe DeMartinis.

A graduate of West Catholic High School, Marianne later went on to earn her Associate’s Degree from Villanova University. She led a long career with General Electric as an Executive Secretary and was devoted to her work.

Marianne lived life her own way and took pride in doing her own thing. She travelled extensively over the course of her life bringing back countless stories of her travels. She visited exotic destinations and enjoyed discovering local shops and boutiques. Always being meticulous in her appearance, Marianne also enjoyed shopping for clothing and jewelry, especially when visiting other parts of the world.

A devoted caregiver, Marianne spent a good portion of her life caring for her parents as they aged. She would eventually move to Ann’s Choice where she thrived through her involvement in various activities. She was a familiar voice to the residents, having done most of the voice overs for the Ann’s Choice Television Studio. She was also involved with the Italian Club and other volunteer aspects at Ann’s Choice as well as being very involved with the Ministry program, regularly taking an active role as a reader during Sunday Services.

Most of all, Marianne’s memory will be treasured by the countless people who will remember her caring and gentle nature and for being a devoted sister, aunt, and friend.

Marianne is survived by her brother, Erigo “Hank” DeMartinis (late Josephine) of Warminster, her nieces and nephews, Phyllis Briggs (Robert) of Warrington, Angela DeMartinis of Warminster, Edward DeMartinis (Mary Ann) of Levittown, and Christe McGowan (John) of Bradenton, FL her great-niece and nephew, Keith Briggs (Colleen) and Lauren Briggs.

In addition to her parents, Marianne was preceded in death by her niece, Patricia DeMartinis.
