Bernard W. Comfort

Bernard W, Comfort of the Delaware Valley Veterans Home died peacefully on Saturday February 1, 2020. He was 96 years of age.

          Born in Elmira New York, he was the beloved husband of 76 years to the late Wanda E. Terwilliger Comfort and son of the late Bernard and Nellie Hulslander Comfort and father of the late Corinne Diane Franzese.

          Bernard is survived by his devoted children: Bonnie Joan Civitts (Raymond), Rosalyn Comfort, Elizabeth Ann Hills (Peter), Bernard W. Comfort, Jr. (Jackie), his son in-law Lawrence Franzese. He was the proud grandfather of 9 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.

          Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Monday February 10, 2020 from 9:00am until his Funeral Service 10:15am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.

         In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to the Delaware Valley Veterans Home 2701 Southampton Rd. Phila, PA 19154.
