Rocco P. Giovinazzo

Rocco P. Giovinazzo of Ivyland died suddenly of a cardiac event on Thursday, January 9, 2020.  He was 73. He was the beloved husband of Maribeth Quinn Giovinazzo for 46 years. In addition to his wife, Rocco is survived by his loving daughter, Rose Hunsicker, her husband Joseph and their three children; Rocco, Thomas and Madeline Rose.

Born in Abington, Rocco was the son of the late Joseph and Rose  Giovinazzo and was the youngest of their 11 children. He was predeceased by 7 brothers and sisters; Rose Cataldi, James Giovinazzo, Anthony Giovinazzo, Barney Giovinazzo, Pat Giovinazzo, Catherine Giovinazzo and Fred Giovinazzo. He is survived by his brother Dominic Giovinazzo and sisters Pauline Fioritto and Phyllis DeAngelo. This family gave him 38 nieces and nephews to love, and they continued to fill his life with immeasurable joy, and so many wonderful great-nieces and nephews.

Rocco loved his days at Abington and Upper Moreland High Schools, which have been so important in his life because so many people from those days continue to be great friends. He had a successful career as an agent with Allstate Insurance, retiring 20 years ago. He was a car enthusiast and enjoyed racing, boating and golf. Rocco will be greatly missed but forever remembered as a loving and devoted friend, husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.
