John E. Bateman

John E. Bateman Sr., of Upper Southampton, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, November 27, 2019.

He was the loving husband of 53 years to Theresa A. Salvatico Bateman who passed away a year ago on December 1, 2018.

Born in Philadelphia he was a son of the late Thomas Bateman Sr and Madeline Morton Bateman and brother of the late Thomas Bateman Jr., Charles Bateman and Robert Gaul.

He is survived by his daughter, Ann Marie Weston and her husband Nick Jr. of Churchville, his two sons John E., Bateman Jr. and his wife Joanne, of Warrington and Anthony Bateman Sr. and his wife Carrie of Warminster and his sister Ethel Paki of Sarasota, Florida. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren, Nicole, Justin, Anthony Jr., Morgan, Nicholas III, Alyssa, Samantha, Jonah; and his two great-granddaughters, Gianna and Hailey.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday, December 5, 2019 from 10:00AM until his Funeral Service, 12:00PM in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954. His interment with military honors will be held at 1:00pm in the Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory may be made to Ann and George Spaeth MD Glaucoma Fund, Wills Eye Hospital 840 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, Pa, 19107.
