Roger A. Dattner

Roger A. Dattner of Doylestown died Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at his residence. He was 76.

Roger was the husband of the late Joan M. Claven Dattner.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of Arthur and Arline Warning Dattner.

Roger was a former resident of Philadelphia and the surburban communities before moving to Doylestown in 1975. He was a graduate of Temple University and had a distinguished career as a Medical Malpractice Claims Adjuster in the Insurance profession. He had a long career with Phico in Camp Hill and eventually worked with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania until his retirement. In his leisure time, he enjoyed being outside in nature, was an avid runner, and enjoyed hiking. Roger was an animal lover, a classic movie enthusiast, and oldies music buff. He had a brilliant mind and was a boxing and football fan over the years. Roger will be deeply missed by his family and by all who came to know him.

 

Roger is survived by his children, Laura E. Wood and her husband Dana Wood of Painted Post, NY and Gregory Joseph Dattner and his wife Selina Deadman of New Zealand. Roger is also survived by his brother Martin Dattner and his wife Kathie Donahoe of Chalfont and his 2 cherished grandchildren Elsa Wood and Annika Wood.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 from 11:30am until his Memorial Service 12:30pm in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Avenue (at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, PA 18901. Roger’s interment will be private.
