Patrick "Rick" J. McGinty

Patrick J. “Rick” McGinty, of Churchville, PA died at Chandler Hall Hospice on Tuesday, November 12, 2019. He passed peacefully and surrounded by the love of his family. He was 62 years old.

Rick was the beloved husband of Betty Blaszczyk McGinty. The couple shared 33 years of love and memories.

Born in Philadelphia, Rick was the son of the late John P. and Alma Berry McGinty; he was the brother of the late Francis, Maureen and James.

Rick was the epitome of a hard worker and family man.  He loved to go to work and give it his all.  In his final position of his printing career he found his dream job with the most wonderful company, Nosco.  They treated Rick with the utmost compassion and respect throughout his illness.

Rick spent his days away from work with his pride and joy, his loving wife, children, and grandchildren. Many family vacations spent together down the shore, Wyoming, and camping with family and friends in the rain.

His gardens were impeccably manicured while his neighbors critiqued from the driveway, beverages in hand.  When not enjoying time with his family, Rick could be found “chasing the little white ball” with the best of friends.  In the fall, he especially loved watching his favorite football team, the Philadelphia Eagles, “Go Birds!”

In addition to his wife Betty, Rick will be missed and remembered by his children, Meghan Betham (John), Kevin McGinty (Melinda), Cristin McGinty (Dave Pileggi) and Bridget McGinty (Bill Weiland) and his grandchildren, John, Ethan, Abigale and Raine.

Rick is also survived by his siblings, John McGinty, Michael McGinty (Denise), Joseph McGinty (Joan), Eileen Pompe (Andy), Colleen Maguire (Tim) and Katie McGinty (Karl Hausker); his mother and father-in-law, Jerome and Dorothy Blaszczyk and his brother-in-law, Michael Blaszczyk

Relatives and friends are invited to Rick’s visitations on Monday, November 18, 2019 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr, III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.)
