James L. Martin

James L. "Diamond Jim" Martin passed away on October 20, 2019 at the age of 76.

Jim was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam war.  After being honorably discharged, he earned his bachelor's degree from LaSalle University and went on to spend his entire career working for the state of Pennsylvania as an accountant.

Upon his retirement, Jim moved to North Wildwood, NJ, where he was a long time member of the James J. Reilly Division #1 - Ancient Order of Hiberians, VFW Post 5343 and the Greater Wildwood Elks Lodge #1896. Jim enjoyed his many cruises with friends and his winters in Florida.

Surviving are his cousin Carole Bense, Michael Bense, her husband, and many second cousins, who called him "Uncle Jimmy".

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on  November 7, 2019 from 11:00 AM until his Funeral Mass at 12:00 PM at St. Bede the Venerable church 1071 Holland Road, Holland, Pa. 18966. 

His interment with military honors will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940.
