Marion Crosby (Vilardo)

Marion Crosby, of Fairless Hills, PA died on Saturday, October 19, 2019, at the Birches of Newtown. She was 102.

She was the beloved wife of the late Edward E. Crosby who died in 1995.

Born in Trenton, NJ, she was the daughter of the late James and Josephine Ribavarra Vilardo.

Marion was born and raised in Trenton, NJ and shortly after marrying her beloved Edward, they moved to Levittown in 1954.  Soon after moving to Levittown Marion got a job at Penn Fruit Supermarket as a cashier. Then, in her early 40’s, Marion returned to school to become a hairdresser.  For over 25 years she owned and operated “Tam Mar’s Salon” in Levittown before selling it in the early 1970’s.

Marion was very artistic and talented with her hands.  This was seen in the work she did at the Salon and also in many other things that she made for family and friends. She did it all from quilting, to crafting, ceramics and painting. There was nothing she would not try.  This adventurous spirit was also found in her love of travel.  It did not matter if it was with family and friends or even by herself.  She traveled extensively through the world, including a trip by herself to Alaska when she was 90 years old.  Her adventurous spirit, positive attitude and love of family will always be cherished by her family and friends.

She is survived by her four children Dolores Randall of Doylestown (late husband William), James Lovett and his wife Helen of Mint Hill, NC, Carolyn Stanley and her husband Victor of Doylestown, Josephine Johnston and her husband Milo  of Doylestown, She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren; Debra Grudza and her husband Nicholas, Darren Randall and his wife Charlene, Christian Johnston and his wife Mary Beth, Jennifer Whyte and her husband Michael, Valarie Engle and her husband Eric and Roy Stanley, her 9 great-grandchildren; Brittany Randall, Taylor Ward and her husband Brian, Mia Engle, Haley Engle, Gavin Johnston, Benjamin Whyte, Josephine Whyte, Jordan Whyte and Gabrielle Grudza and one great-great grandson Wyatt Ward. The family wishes to thank the Birches for the excellent care she received.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at The Church of St. Andrew, 81 Swamp Road, Newtown, PA 18940, from 10:00 – 10:45 AM, with her funeral mass at 11:00 am. Her interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Trenton, NJ.
