Isabel L. Weber (Latham)

Isabel L. Weber a resident of Doylestown, Pennsylvania died on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at Neshaminy Manor Home surrounded by her loving family. She was 99.

Born in Philadelphia, Isabel was the daughter of the late William and Isabel Denker Latham. Isabel was the wife of the late William Weber who passed away in 1998 and loving sister of the late William, Russell, Vincent and Richard Latham.

Isabel will be remembered as a kind and gentle soul who never had a bad day.  She was born in Philadelphia but was raised on farms in Mechanicsville and Gardenville. She loved to tell stories of growing up with no indoor plumbing, heat, or electric.  She said that farm life was the reason she lived to be 99.

Isabel attended Rocky Ridge School, a one room school house, and Doylestown High School.  In 1949 she married her husband, Bill.  Together they worked tirelessly running corner “Mom & Pop” stores in various Philadelphia neighborhoods.  They were blessed with two children, Bill and Janette who she lovingly raised along with being a lifetime caregiver to her mother.

After the death of her husband, she returned to her beloved Bucks County.  She was a welcome addition to the Dacey household where she shared laughs and many a glass of wine over 16 years.  In her final years she resided at the Bridges Assisted Living and Neshaminy Manor.  Our family thanks the many caregivers and hospice team who made her final years comfortable and safe.

The greatest heartbreak of her life was the loss of her son, Bill, in 2009.  We take comfort in knowing that they are together once again.

Isabel was the beloved mother of the late William Weber and his wife, Elizabeth of Collegeville, PA along with her daughter, Janette Dacey and her husband, Jim of Doylestown, PA. She was a devoted Gammy to William Weber and his wife, Melanie, Sarah Furtado and her husband, Nathan, Bryan Dacey and his fiancée, Emsley Willingham, and Meghan Dacey; the cherished GG of Vivian, Will, and Sam Weber and Grace and Emma Furtado.  Isabel is also survived by Veronica Sauter, who has been like a daughter to her.

Her family will receive relatives and friends from 9:30 AM until her Memorial Service at 11:00 AM, on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave (at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain.  Her interment will follow at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Ambler, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Doylestown Hospital Hospice, 4259 Swamp Road, Suite 204, Doylestown, Pa 18901. Be sure to indicate that it is "In memory of Isabel L. Weber"
