Anthony J. De Los Angeles

On the morning of Tuesday, October 8, 2019, the world lost an amazing man. Anthony “Tony” J. De Los Angeles of Furlong, PA passed away unexpectedly due to cardiac health complications. He was 35.

Tony was the beloved husband to Elizabeth De Los Angeles and loving father to Thomas Edward “Teddy” De Los Angeles. He was known for his contagious laugh, incredible musical talent, cunning trivia knowledge, and above all else, his kind heart.

Born in Philadelphia and raised in Churchville, PA, Tony was the devoted son of Antonio and Susan De Los Angeles and grew up alongside his younger brother, Shawn De Los Angeles. He enjoyed a childhood filled with basketball, video games, and trips up to the country with his Pop and Gram. As Tony grew, so too did his love of music. He developed a true passion for guitar and piano, and he showcased his talent on stage in various bands and musical performances. “King Tonis” proudly served as president for Council Rock High School’s class of 2002. He went on to enjoy many late nights and good company at Pennsylvania State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.

After college, Tony’s path led him to teach music classes at Rainbow Academy Preschool. He continued on his professional journey as a Medical Scribe at Nazareth Hospital. He finally landed as a Healthcare Technology Analyst at ECRI Institute, a non-profit organization promoting safety in the medical field. Tony thrived at each position and left a lasting impression on all of those with whom he interacted.

Outside of work, Tony spent much of his time with a group of friends who quickly grew to become a family. Within this circle, Tony found his future wife. Tony and “Lizzie Mac” spent countless hours G-chatting their way through the entire West Wing television series. Liz fell in love with Tony’s sense of humor, intelligence, and most importantly, his kind heart. They became best friends, then an inseparable couple, and finally in 2015, husband and wife. Their son Teddy was born in May of 2018, and their happy little family was complete. Teddy was without a doubt Tony’s proudest accomplishment. Fatherhood gave Tony a new purpose in life, and he had never been happier. Tony had always been able to light up a room, but with Teddy by his side he shone even brighter. The happy family enjoyed everything from lazy mornings in bed to adventures out and about, as long as they had each other. They squeezed a lifetime's worth of happy memories into a life which was cut far too short.

In addition to his wife, son, parents, and brother, Tony is survived by his grandmother, Elizabeth McHale; mother-in-law, Nancy McGuire; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He is predeceased by his beloved grandfather and best man, Thomas McHale; grandparents, Juan and Rosalina De Los Angeles; uncle, Thomas McHale; uncle, Constancio De Los Angeles; and father-in-law, Edward McGuire.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet Tony’s  family on Sunday, October 20, 2019 from 9:00 AM until his Funeral Service 12:00 Noon at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.), Richboro, PA 18954. Tony’s interment will take place privately by the family.
