Robert D. Okenquist

Robert D. Okenquist of Doylestown died Sunday, August 11, 2019 at Doylestown Hospital in Doylestown. He was 66.

Bob was the beloved and cherished husband of 19 years to Catherine M. Shields Okenquist and the step father of Lauren Nevius and her husband Hunter

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the Helen Dorothy Shetolino Okenquist and the late Robert Harry Okenquist.

Bob was a former resident of Horsham before moving to Doylestown over 25 years ago. He was a graduate of Penn State University receiving his degree in Business Administration and eventually received his Real Estate license. Bob had a distinguished career as a Mortgage Loan Officer with various firms throughout his career with his latest position at the Bank of America. He fostered and maintained many business and personal relationships throughout career based on his outstanding reputation and being a gentleman of true character. In his leisure time, he enjoyed the beauty of nature, exercising by participating in marathons and gardening. Bob always attempted to leave a situation better than he found it and was always available to lend a helping hand to all. He will be truly missed by his family and by all who came to know and love him.

Services and interment will be privately held by his family.
