Charlotte and I were friends for nearly 60 years - at school and our non-date Saturday nights sitting in the Mannheims' kitchen, along with Kate, drinking tea and eating bakery goodies, "trading houses/families" for a night and sharing our same-day birthdays each year with long distance hours-long phone calls from as far away as 4000 miles. In my last phone call with Charlotte, she shared how wonderful and fortunate she was to have a sister like Irene who was so kind and good to her. Will miss our February chats. Ruhe in Frieden. Lynnie
