Catherine Bukta (LoRusso)

Cathy LoRusso Bukta died suddenly Sunday, April 7, 2024, at her residence in Chalfont. She was 80 years old.

Cathy was the beloved wife of Jim Bukta; the couple shared 60 years of marriage full of friendship, laughter, love and family. Jim was the love of her life.

Born in Abington, PA, Cathy was the daughter of the late Ernest M and Marion E Orthaus LoRusso. She was also the sister of the late Ernest LoRusso Jr.

Cathy loved having people around her… the more the better!  Cathy opened her home to anyone that needed a place to stay, convalesce or just play a game of Rummikub or Carcassone.  Cathy enjoyed traveling and vacationing especially with her big boisterous family.  Cathy and Jim could dance the jitterbug and it looked like it was choreographed right out of a musical.  She was the matriarch of our family, the wind beneath our wings and she taught us all how to be better more compassionate people.

Cathy loved Jesus and her life was guided by the Bible.  She was a strong believer that  she would eventually be with her mother, father and brother and we are certain they are having quite the reunion.

In addition to her husband Jim, Cathy will be missed by her children and their spouses, Cathy and Garry Besch, Debbie and Brad Coleman, Marion and Luis Marin, Jim and Kay Bukta, Diane and Angelo Altadonna and Tim and Sherri Wray; her ten grandchildren Josh, Jordan, Ryan, Veronica, Jason, Chad, Marissa, Joseph, Jessica, Eva; and her brothers and sisters-in-law, Anthony and Carol LoRusso, Larry and Arleen LoRusso and Michael and Brenda LoRusso.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet Cathy’s family Monday, April 15, 2024 from 9:30am, until the start of her Funeral Service at 10:30am, at the Joseph A Fluehr III Funeral Home at 241 East Butler Avenue (at Sandy Ridge Road) in New Britain, PA 18901. Interment will follow at Whitemarsh Memorial Park in Ambler, PA.

In lieu of flowers, please consider the gift of life through organ donation.
