Virginia L. Mick (Pincik)

Virginia “Ginny” Mick (nee Pincik) of Northeast Philadelphia died peacefully on March 23, 2024. She was 96 years young.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the beloved wife of George F. Mick, Jr. Her brothers, James Pincik, Charles Pincik and her sister Florence Bilinsky predeceased her.

Ginny was a graduate of Mastbaum High School, class of 1945. Ginny continued to meet with several high school friends, once a month for 65+ years, establishing a post high school “sorority”. She was a communicant of St. Jerome’s Parish for over 70 years. Ginny worked as an  administrative assistant in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s office. Ginny also worked as a bookkeeper for Karey Master, a storm window manufacturing company.

Ginny was skilled with her hands and would make beautiful crocheted blankets. She looked forward to family trips to the Jersey Shore and to Florida.  She will be sadly missed for her warm and loving ways.

In addition to her beloved husband George, her devoted children, Virginia Bottaro and her husband Richard, and George G. Mick and his wife Annette, survive her.  She is also survived by her 3 loving grandchildren; Michael Bottaro and his wife Nicole, Andrew Bottaro and his wife Jill, and Maria Mick, and 4 great grandchildren; Edward, Brynn, Brooke and Natalie,

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Tuesday, April 9, at St. Jerome’s Church 8100 Colfax St. Phila., from 9:45 a.m. until her Funeral Mass at 10:45 a.m. Interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.
