Frank D. Marino

Frank D. Marino of Newtown passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at St. Mary Medical Center.  He was 88.

Frank was the loving and devoted husband of the late Adelaide Marino with whom he had shared 63 years of marriage prior to her passing in 2017.

Born in Brooklyn, NY he was a son of the late Frank D. and Julia Olivieri Marino.

Frank was proud to have been a long time resident of Brooklyn before relocating to Bucks County where he lived for the last 41years.  He served proudly with the United States Navy during the Korean War and went on to lead a long career as a Certified Public Accountant, having served for various government agencies.  He was fiercely devoted to his family and took very seriously his responsibility to provide for them, at times working three jobs to ensure they always had whatever they needed.  As his family grew he beamed with love for all of them and especially adored and treasured time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchild.

Frank was a dedicated parishioner of St. Bede the Venerable Church in Holland.  He enjoyed telling stories, many of which were about his time working as an usher for the Paramount Theater in New York and he also would often share about some of the pranks he pulled in his younger years.

Above all else, Frank stood out as a man of great honor, integrity, possessed a tireless work ethic, and was the model of a loving and dedicated Dad.

He will be missed but his rich legacy will be treasured by all who knew and loved him.

Surviving are his children, Robert C. Marino and his wife Cynthia of Churchville, Julie M. Marino of Hillsborough, NJ, Lori A. Egan and her husband James of Churchville, Darlene Barkman and her husband Peter of Richboro and Frank J. Marino and his wife Courtney of Warwick.  He also leaves behind 11 cherished grandchildren; Christina, Ryan, Alex, Liam, Daniel, Katherine, Lauren, Mackenzie, Max, Julia and William; his great-grandson, Miles Marino; his brother, Charles Marino; and his brother-in-law, Paul Barrella.

In addition to his wife and his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mildred Barrella.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Thursday, July 25, 2019  from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Rd.)
