Elizabeth J. Hyde (Walsh)

Elizabeth J. Hyde passed away peacefully on Friday, July 19, 2019. She was 94.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the wife of the late Charles H. Hyde and daughter to the late William J. and Catherine Walsh Ramsey.

Elizabeth grew up in the Olney section of Philadelphia as the youngest of 8 children.  After graduating from Olney High School, she worked for a branch of the U.S. Government as a typist and stenographer.  Elizabeth and Charles married on May 22nd, 1954 and raised three children in Horsham, Pa.  In retirement, Elizabeth and Charles enjoyed living in Peachtree City, Ga. 

Elizabeth is survived by her loving children Charles F. Hyde and his wife Vicki, Brian P. Hyde, Christine M. Stevens, as well as her 11 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Thursday, July 25, 2019 from 10:00 AM until her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Jude Church, 321 W. Butler Ave., Chalfont, PA 18914. Her interment will take place on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Ave., Newtown, PA 18940, with military honors to be rendered for her late husband, Charles.
