Allen P. Kimmel

Allen P. Kimmel of Feasterville died Tuesday July 16, 2019 at St. Mary Medical Center, in Langhorne, surrounded by his loving family. He was 84.

Allen was the beloved husband of 62 years to Mary Ann Dreher Kimmel.

Allen was a resident of Feasterville since 1967. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a dedicated and faithful communicant of Assumption B.V.M. in Feasterville. Allen was employed by Sears, Roebuck and Company, in Philadelphia, for over 40 years, and eventually with the Neshaminy School District, until his retirement. In his youth, he played semi-pro baseball.  He continued his love of sports by coaching his children and grandchildren. He was a former coach for the Lower Southampton Athletic Association, where he coached baseball, soccer and softball, from 1967 to 1978. Allen also coached baseball with the Warminster Athletic Association. He was a Phillies and Eagles fan.  He enjoyed woodworking, construction projects, his “Field of Dreams” and building anything his family requested.  Allen will be deeply missed by his family and by all who came to know him.

In addition to his beloved wife Mary Ann, Allen is survived by his children; Joanne Rennie and her husband Jim of Annapolis, MD, Allen P. Kimmel Jr. and his wife Kimberly of Horsham, Donna M. Kimmel and her fiance John Cush of Langhorne and  Karen Lagreca and her husband Daniel of Warminster. He is also survived by his brother Warren Kimmel of Horsham, his 14 grandchildren: Eric and Alex Rennie, Jenny, Jamie and Lisa Eisemann, Steph, AJ, Jackie, Missy and Trisha Kimmel, Danny, Madison, Nick and Ashley Lagreca and his 4 great grandchildren: Nora Lagreca, Tyler Leahan, Levi Kimmel and Bennett Rennie.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewings, Friday, July 26, 2019 from 6:00-8:00pm and on Saturday, July 27, 2019 from 9:00am until his Funeral Mass 10:30am in the Assumption B.V.M. Church, 1900 Meadowbrook Road, Feasterville, PA 19053. Allen’s interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Feasterville.

Contributions in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, either by phone 800-822-6344, online at www.stjude.org, or mailed to 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Allen’s family would encourage all in attendance for his visitation and services to avoid wearing black, and instead, wear bright colors, to join in the celebration of his life.
