Charlotte B. Mannheims

Charlotte B. Mannheims of Ambler, died peacefully on February 14, 2018 at Chestnut Hill Hospital after a two year battle with Glioblastoma. She was 73.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the devoted daughter of the late Hans and Mary Esser Mannheims and sister-in-law of the late Walter Mueller.

Charlotte formerly lived in Cheltenham and was a graduate of Cardinal Dougherty High School, Gwynedd Mercy College and St. Joseph University. She spent her professional career over 25 years with Pew Charitable Trust and its affiliates. Charlotte fought very hard to overcome this disease and with the care of St. Joseph Villa and Crossroads Hospice her family is ever grateful.

She made friends wherever she went and those friends have been faithful throughout this ordeal. Charlotte was a woman of faith and strength and courage, she will be remembered for her warm and loving smile.

Charlotte is survived by her caring and supportive sister Irene A. Mueller who was always at her side. Also surviving are several cousins and their families.

Charlotte’s family will receive condolences on Monday February 19, 2018 from 9:30am until her Funeral Mass celebrated at 10:30am by Monsignor Stephen McHenry in the Chapel at St. Joseph’s Villa 110 W. Wissahickon Ave. Flourtown, PA 19002. Interment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joseph Villa, 110 W. Wissahickon Ave., Flourtown, PA 19002 or St. Anthony of Padua Parish, 259 Forest Avenue, Ambler, PA 19002.
