George H. Urban

George H. Urban of Richboro died Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was 80.

George was the beloved husband of 55 years to Sylvia D. Mills Urban.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late George E. and Marion Urban.

George was former resident of Upper Black Eddy and Penndel before moving to Richboro in 1970. After his graduation from Palisades High School, he attended Dobbins Trade School in Philadelphia. He was an accomplished Tool and Die Maker and had worked with the George K. Garett Company in Philadelphia for over 23 years and eventually worked with the Kooltronic Company in Hopewell, NJ until his retirement in 2000. In his leisure, he worked on the pit crew for Schlauch racing team and enjoyed taking trips in his classic car. He would travel to Lake George, the New Jersey beaches and Niagara Falls. George will be deeply missed by his family and by everyone who came to know him.

In addition to his wife Sylvia, George is survived by his daughter; Dawn R. Margay of Horsham and his 2 cherished grandchildren Daniel P. and Justin A. Margay. He is also survived by his sisters Marion Tange of Upper Black Eddy, Gladys Bauder of Bethlehem and Anita Hendershot of Upper Black Eddy.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing from 11:00am until his Funeral Service 1:00pm on Saturday, February 17th in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954.George’s interment will be private at the Milford Union Cemetery, Milford, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Prostate Cancer Foundation, 1250 Fourth Street, Santa Monica, CA 90401.
