Thomas D. Connolly

Thomas D. Connolly, 60, of Yardley, passed away at his home on Sunday, September 17, 2017. 

Tom was born and raised on Staten Island and was a 30-year resident of Holland, PA.  He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather who loved to celebrate life. Tom graduated in 1975 from New Dorp High School and later Cabrini College.  After dedicating 40 years, he retired from Amtrak as an Executive Vice President.  He enjoyed fishing, traveling and spending time with his family.

He was survived by his wife Donna Connolly and his three daughters Krystina and Jason Vaughan of Furlong and their daughters; Izabella and Brielle, Kelly and James Fox Jr. of Washington Crossing and their daughters; Faith and Natalie, and Karen and Patrick McLaughlin Jr. of Levittown and their son Patrick III.  He is also survived by his brothers and sisters: James Connolly, William Connolly, Stephen Connolly, Barbara McKay and Margaret Quinn, his father and mother in law; Natale and Matilda Vaccaro and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by his father and mother James F. and Myrtle Connolly as well as his brother Joseph Connolly, his special aunt Marian Mattson, sister-in-law Marlene Connolly and nephews James F. Connolly V and Michael Vaccaro.

His family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, September 24, 2017 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm and on Monday, September 25, from 9:00 - 10:00 AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Road) New Britain, PA 18901 and to his Funeral Mass, 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 5175 Cold Spring Creamery Rd., Doylestown, PA 18902.  His interment will be held privately. 

In lieu of flowers, his family is accepting contributions in his memory for the Father Martins Ashley – Scholarship Fund; 800 Tydings Lane, Havre De Grace, MD 21078.
