Agnes M. Samra (Sodl)

Agnes M. Samra passed away on Friday, September 15, 2017.  She was 85 years old.  

Agnes was the loving wife of the late Charles Samra to whom she was married to for 56 years. They were long-time residents of Holland, PA. 

Surviving are Agnes’ children, Charles A. Samra and his wife Toyoko, and Elaine C. Prutzman and her husband Robert.  She is also survived by her one grandson James Barker and his wife Ellie, a sister-in-law Helen Sodl, and many nieces and nephews.  Agnes was the last surviving of five children born to the late John and Anna (Stangl) Sodl in Northampton, PA.

Agnes was a devoted member of St. Bede’s Church since its inception.  Agnes was also very active in the Northampton Township Senior Center and enjoyed art classes and socializing with her community of friends there, and at the Assisted Living home where she resided this past year.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 9:00 AM until her Funeral Mass 10:00 AM at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Rd. Holland, PA 18966.  Interment will be in the Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Washington Crossing, PA. 

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund, 26 Broadway; 14th Floor, New York, NY 10004.
