Charles S. Landherr

Charles S. Landherr, 20 year resident of Newtown, died peacefully Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Buckingham Valley Nursing Home. He was 70 years old.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Dr. Charles L. and Florence Ronneburger Landherr. Having lived on Stanwood Street, near Pennypack Park in Philadelphia, Charlie enjoyed the company of his family, neighbors and friends. He was an ace at chess, kept the neighborhood cars sparkling clean, enjoyed country music, and was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan!

Charlie moved to the Newtown area about 20 years ago and continued to make friends wherever he went. "Chuck" had a knack for brightening people's days.

He will be missed by his nieces and nephews, Jacqueline and Theodore Szanajda, Stephen and Christine Zdunczyk and Jennifer Zdunczyk. Charlie is also survived by many loving extended family members and will be missed by his friends at Buckingham Valley. Charlie was predeceased by his loving sister, Geraldine M. and her husband, John J. Zdunczyk.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet Charlie's family on Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 10:00am until the start of his Funeral Mass, 11:00 am at the Chapel of St. Louise de Marillac at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Road, Richboro, PA 18954. His interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Cheltenham, PA.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 26 Broadway; 14th Floor, New York, NY 10004; or to Cerebral Palsy Foundation, 3 Columbus Circle; 15th Floor, New York, NY 10019.
